Do you have a studio, or can we do our portrait session at our home or at an outdoor location?

I bring my gear to you! I am a mobile on-location photographer so that means I will help you find a location that you love, or I will bring my backdrops and equipment to your home (newborn sessions happen in your home for instance).

What should we wear to our photoshoot?

Great question and one that I get asked a lot. Wear items that you look great in and are comfortable in! Colors that look best in photos, are neutrals such as tan, grey, beige, taupe, white, black, sage green, baby blue, blush pink, anything that will not give a color cast onto your skin. If you love vibrant colors, make them the accents such as a scarf, shawl, tie, etc. if possible..

How should I prepare for my upcoming photoshoot?

After choosing the when and where, pick out clothing for you and your family or whomever you will be in the photos. Take a moment to pose a little in front of the mirror to get comfortable with poses. If you have little ones that will be photographed, prepare them by letting them know about my large camera and lens as well as having them do some poses like "hug mommy" in front of the mirror, etc.. Bring snacks for the kids! Something small and neutral colored like cheerios, small marshmallows, or yogurt melts. That way kids don't get messy or fussy during your session. Lastly, ask any questions you may have, even if they feel silly.
